International Women's Day 2025
In support of International Women's Day, Human Resources Office organised a campaign with the theme “Accelerate Action” on 6 March 2025 to promote gender equality and foster a more equitable social environment.
Celebrating International Women’s Day
The campaign attracted more than 500 participants join in the celebration of International Women's Day and take action to forge gender equality together.
Display boards were set up to share with colleagues about the significance of International Women's Day and to highlight the University's commitment to promoting equality and inclusion in the workplace. Information was also provided on the current situation of women in Hong Kong, aimed at raising colleagues’ awareness of gender equality in Hong Kong.
In collaboration with “Joy Fusion”, a social enterprise that supports and offers employment opportunities for people with disabilities, we used large building blocks to create a figure of a girl striking the “Accelerate Action” pose, aligning with the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day to show solidarity with women around the world, serving as a popular photo spot for participants.
Accelerate Action: Support Women in Hong Kong
In response to International Women's Day, we supported women's employment by distributing handcrafted souvenirs by women from two social enterprises - "Time To Gold" and "sis works", aimed to introduced our colleagues to various non-governmental organisations and social enterprises dedicated to promoting grassroots women's employment in Hong Kong.

A delightful assortment of Sesame Candy, Peanut Candy and Cow Ear Candy, handmade by experienced elderly women from “Time To Gold”, a social enterprise committed to preserving traditional pastry culture, empowering women, and enhancing the quality of life for elderly individuals. - Mosquito Repellent Spray and Natural Beeswax Lip Balm
Handcrafted products by women from "sis works", an organisation that provides services and workshops to integrate the wisdom of women from each family and promote gender equality in Hong Kong.
Moving forward, let’s accelerate action for gender equality together.
