Enhanced Leave Provisions

To address the diverse needs of staff, eligible staff members are entitled to maternity or paternity leave as well as associated medical benefits, in accordance with the University's policies and regulations. The University also provides marriage leave. Additionally, compassionate leave is available with more relaxed eligibility criteria.

As a family-friendly organisation, we help employees balance childcare and work by offering breastfeeding facilities and lactation breaks, making parenting compatible with their jobs. Our efforts have been recognised by organisations, such as UNICEF.

It is of paramount importance to create a University community that is free from discrimination. We firmly prohibit discrimination against any individual on the grounds of sex, marital status, pregnancy, disability, family status, or race. In accordance with Hong Kong’s anti-discrimination ordinances, we put in place prevention measures to reduce the risk of such behaviour by all means 

The University is included in the Schedule to the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance (Cap. 201) as a "public body".  All employees must be wary of any "advantage" offered to him/her and which could in any way be connected with the performance of his/her duties as a University staff.
