Executive Officer (PR0256/21-22)

The Office is looking for a number of meticulous teamplayers. The candidate will perform the following duties:
  • Support the University’s research initiatives and enhance its research culture and engagement;
  • Support the development of the interdisciplinary research labs and the hiring of labs’ members;
  • Develop and enhance the existing websites and contribute in various social media platforms and external liaison;
  • Promote research-related events/activities, including but not limited to talks, programmes, conferences, tour visits, interviews, symposiums and exhibitions, etc.;
  • Provide support in forging industrial/academic partnerships;
  • Promote research communication and publicity;
  • Provide support in committee work; and
  • Carry out ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Applicants should possess:
  • A recognised degree in Public Relations & Communications, Language Studies or related disciplines preferred;
  • At least four years of relevant experience;
  • An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), and relevant editing and multimedia production skills;
  • Proactivity, maturity, meticulousness, readiness to accept challenges, capability in multitasking and independence at work;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, good analytical ability and a strong sense of responsibility;
  • Ability to work under tight timelines; and
  • Proficiency in a wide range of computing applications.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of 2 years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
