Senior Research Assistant / Research Assistant – iGESS Project (PR0124/21-22)

The appointee is expected to provide project administration, implementation, research support for an intergenerational learning project. Duties will also include planning and facilitating intergenerational project activities for university students, secondary school students and older people, supporting research data collection and analysis, drafting of project documents, reports and related research materials with text and graphics.

Requirements:

  • A master’s degree, or bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related human services disciplines plus at least 3 years of post-qualification research experience;
  • Work experience with older people and young people is preferred;
  • Experience/training in academic research such as conducting survey research, qualitative interviews, and field studies is an asset;
  • A good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); and  
  • Hard working, responsible, fast learning and detail oriented.    

Applicants who possess a relevant bachelor’s degree will be considered for the post of Research Assistant.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of twelve months. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement, performance, and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
