Research Assistant (PR0122/21-22)
The appointee is expected to provide research and administrative support on research-related work in areas related to community health of older South Asians communities. Duties will also include making connections with South Asian communities, identifying research participants, conducting interviews and surveys, coordination and implementation of research project activities, literature review, and drafting of reports and related research materials with text and graphics.
A bachelor’s degree in any disciplines, training in social sciences/human services would be an asset;
A good command of spoken and written English;
Ability to conduct interviews with the South Asian older people using one or more of the following languages: Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, and Napali;
Strong knowledge of and preferably experience in networking with local South Asian communities; and
Willing to learn, hardworking, responsible, and detail oriented
Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of twelve months. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
