Institute of Bioresource and Agriculture (IBA)
The Institute is established as a knowledge hub that engages in bioresource conservation and sustainable agriculture, promotes and offers professional and public education in sustainable consumption, bioresource and organic agriculture. The Institute is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the following position:
Project Assistant (PR0134/21-22)
The appointee is expected to assist the Centre Executive/Project Co-ordinator in the execution of educational activities and the operation of its Learning Centre. He/She will monitor the overall operation of education programmes/workshops, prepare workshop materials for promoting organic agriculture and sustainable living style, and supervise part-time staff. He/She will also provide daily administrative support in equipment maintenance, security service, reception counter and enquiry handling. Working on shift hours, weekends and public holidays is required.
Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Biology, Environmental Science or related disciplines with at least three years of relevant experience in related field. Experience in office administration will be an advantage. A good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, and proficient computer skills including MS Office and Chinese word-processing are required.
Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year commencing as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
